A Memorial Foundation declaration: late. Gopi Krishna Khanal

Manoj Khanal

In the blue sky of some northeastern districts of Nepal and in this beautiful green land, a working and patriotic personality dedicated to the 40th spring of his life in the field of literature, publishing, and journalism has just come to a sad end. To put it bluntly, I have personally lost my beloved father, Three Dozens of social organizations in the Jhapa district, including the Khanal family, Sanatan Dharma Seva Samiti, and Moti Chhandakala family, have lost a living guardian.

Those eyes that have been seen cycling incessantly on the Birtamod are for years on end, will probably still be searching for the face that has now disappeared into the horizon. He stopped the bicycle only in his memory and asked what was going on.

It is a game of time, time is always strong as well as valuable. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Our society, torn between the events and accidents of human life, will continue to plague every home and family in its own way even in the modern age.

When some incidents of road accidents came to their notice till yesterday, they used to get stuck in the next village, but now they have crashed in the porch of their house and not only in their own village. In those days of yesterday, this mind could remind friends and relatives of others in such a difficult situation, when it is impossible to remind oneself.

This mind that has to be satisfied that it is a ritual of the world, the difference between the mind that cannot understand and explain itself today will be the difference between heaven and earth.

While a tragic accident was taking place at Ram Chowk in Birtamod on August 20, I was busy playing long tennis with my neighbor Sandeep Sapkota for physical exercise after finishing my morning routine in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA.

The news of the accident came to light only after the eighth call made by brother Yuvaraj Paudel after he missed the ring of the phone sent through Viber. The news of the accident did not allow me to feel how many feet below the ground I was on.

In the next few hours, the brothers Roshan, Yuvraj, and the hospital staff were getting updated news that he had been involved in a bicycle accident. I was hospitalized, had a blood clot due to a serious head injury, had to undergo surgery as soon as possible, had to donate blood, and my father’s body did not support me after the operation.

The pain of leaving one’s country and going abroad is no less than the pain of childbirth which only a foreigner and a mother who has given birth will know. Only a foreigner can understand that in the absence of one of the members of the same family, all cannot be gathered in one place.

Even though I have no idea in my heart that this should happen in my thirteen-year-old American life, people may be distracted by the lack of ability to fight reality, and it may take some time to cope.

According to the Vedic Hindu culture, the 45th-day program after the thirteenth day has been completed. I am grateful to my family, relatives, well-wishers, other well-wishers, as well as neighbors, for supporting me in every event from the accident site to the hospital in Maidhar.

When I must take the names of some personalities Uncles Dinanath Sigdel and Punya Prasad Poudyal, neighbors Jayendra Udas and Khadga Prasad Dahal as well as brothers Yuvraj, Meghraj, Pankaj, Ashish, Anil, Sunil, Navin and Bhanubhakta, sisters Sirjana, Kalpana, Bandana and others can’t.

Likewise, my four uncles, Mama Purushottam Sigdel, Fupu Fupaju, Khanal brothers, close relatives and neighbors, friendly friends who listened to the incident are deserving of thanks. Rohini Vilas Luintel, Komal Prasad Pokhrel, Vishnu Prasad Bhattarai, Ganesh Khanal, Jay Narayan Dhudana, Gangaram Bhattarai, and Narendra Kamala Parajuli, the brother of Buddha Offset Press, who are very close to my father and have been involved in daily meetings in recent days I am an expert in the matter.

After hearing this sad news, Shanti Ram Khanal from Mumbai, Mimlal Sapkota from Silgadhi, Gopal Sharma, Narayan Sharma, Leela Upreti from Hetauda, Keshav Raj Bhandari from Pokhara, Devi Sitaula from Fidim, Kavita Sharma, Khagendra Sigdel from Itahari and Sigdel family from Khandwari and relatives from neighboring districts.

There are moments that will never be forgotten. No less important is the contribution of Rupak Khanal, who took the entire responsibility of purifying the Khalatrandhu (wheat eating) done on the tenth day while performing the rituals of the thirteenth day.

I would be very sorry if I did not mention the names of the friendly friends who helped me to carry out my father’s ceremony (on the advice of my teacher) at his Jersey City residence in the United States. Respected Sister Radha Sharma, a resident of Bahundangi, who is currently living with me, took care of her coming to the house to offer her condolences for thirteen days and helped me with food and drink.

Dr. Suman Kumar Timsina, Virginia, and his beloved sister Ramita Prasai, Vinod Moktan Pennsylvania, came to the Jersey City residence to offer condolences through a condolence book. I was greatly encouraged by the presence of hundreds of my integral friends living in the New Jersey area.

Apart from this, thanks to Kiran Thapa, Dhaniram Sapkota, Nawaraj Subedi, Sandeep Sapkota, Vinod Poudel, Anil Rokka, Nrip Bahadur Bista, Pradip Kumar Thapa Magar, Niranjan Thapa, Krishna Shrestha, Rajesh Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Goma Neupane for their direct support. Want to reveal.

More importantly, the local Jersey City Nepali Committee, which includes about 70-75 Nepali families living around Jersey City, postponed the picnic two days after the accident by the Women’s Jersey City Nepali Committee and for some reason. We are bowing down, I have no words to express because I remember my father’s last meeting with them is lingering in my mind.

The Khanal family is always indebted to the condolence letter given by the father through dozens of associations and organizations at private residences. I believe this article will be incomplete. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this article may have caused while I was in Corey. Late.

While Gopi Krishna Khanal lived a simple and normal life till the age of 71, while encouraging the upliftment of Nepali literature through printing press and journalism, it is heartbreaking to read the sad pages that he is rich as a person who always gives something to the Nepali society.

I am happy to announce that the Gopi Krishna Smriti Pratishthan, which was made public on the thirteenth day of the month, has begun its work on the basis of the evaluation of his contribution to society and the fruits of society’s generosity towards him. Accordingly, I would like to inform you that the logo of the foundation has been made public through this article on the occasion of his 45th birthday.

Late. Looking back at Khanal’s 40-year history of journalism, it is rare in the history of Nepali journalism that he started his standard of living on a bicycle and spent his last life on a bicycle. The foundation has been entrusted with the task of consolidating and preserving the tens of thousands of books and periodicals that were left to his family as property after his death.

It is intended to contribute to the publishing, educational and health sectors with the “Gopi Krishna Journalism Award” by setting up a revolving fund of about Rs. In addition to the 100% amount received from the accident insurance, the family has been called upon to support the establishment, which is being set up with a fund of around Rs. 122,000.
